About Bornheim Growers e.V.

Bornheim is a Frankfurt neighbourhood in transition — traditionally working-class and immigrant-community territory, increasingly gentrified, yet retaining a grounded character that distinguishes it from more polished districts to the west. The Bornheim Growers e.V. is one of Frankfurt’s most cultivation-focused CSCs: an association built around genuine horticultural passion, where growing cannabis is treated as a craft deserving serious attention.

Founded by a core group of experienced home-growers who had been cultivating cannabis under the personal-use rules introduced by the KCanG in April 2024, the Bornheim Growers formalised into a CSC when the Cannabisanbaugesetz came into force in July 2024. The founding group’s collective cultivation knowledge — spanning hydroponic, organic soil, and coco-coir systems — gave the club an unusually strong start.

The club runs regular cultivation workshops covering seedling management, vegetative-stage nutrition, harvest timing, drying protocols, and curing science. Members are actively encouraged to contribute cultivation knowledge and to propose new strains for the collective programme. With 300 members and a €22 monthly fee, the club maintains an engaged, participatory base that treats the collective grow as a shared project.
