Cannabis Legal Status in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for cannabis. Even trace amounts in a blood test can result in imprisonment. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other Emirates apply UAE federal law, which mandates imprisonment of at least 4 years for possession. Foreign nationals are not exempt. THC presence in a drug test counts as possession. There is no legal cannabis of any kind in the UAE.
